Puppy Collectible : Roddy the Rottweiler

I’m trying to vary what I make just to keep things even and fresh. So after last weeks kittens and a very cute fairy , I decided to make another puppy.

I’ve just sold Desmond the Basset Hound

to a lovely lady in Sugarland, Texas via my Folksy shop. It’s so exciting when people buy things; amazing the power of the Internet to make  our huge globe so tiny! Well now I only have Boris the Bulldog

left. I needed another puppy in my stock so I decided to make one of my favourite dogs: a Rottweiler.

Yes I know they have a bad reputation and can be terribly dangerous, but I firmly believe that dogs are as dangerous as their owners. I owned the most wonderful Labrador /Rotty cross a few years ago and he was a perfect dog. Sadly he had terrible epilepsy and we had to help him go to sleep after 9 fits in one evening took it out of him. He was only 3 years old. Sleep well Tiny dog.

So here is Roddy the Rottweiler Puppy. He is made from glossy black cotton yarn and rusty brown acrylic.

I think he’s a darling. He’s 9 inches high like all my other puppy collectibles and comes packaged in his own dinky white box.

All my collectibles cost £20 ( plus p+p) and would make a very special unique gift for someone who has everything.

Please note these creations are not sold as toys due to their handmade nature and are suitable for decoration purposes/ older children only.

Beautiful Basset Hound

Here’s my latest puppy dog to join my crochet puppy clan.

Introducing Desmond . Don’t ask me why I’ve called him that, it just seemed to fit his gorgeous little face with it’s long droopy ears.

Delightful, doleful Desmond.

Like all my other puppy dog collectibles , Desmond ‘sits’ 6″ /15 cm high and comes in his own cute white box. His eyes and nose are safely fixed in and he is made in a smoke and pet free environment.

He costs £15 plus p+ p and is soon to be listed in my folksy shop CROCHET BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL.

If you like him, why not give him a home. He is looking for a good owner who would take good care of him. He’s very low maintenance , requiring cuddles and kisses only and the very occasional sponge down. No pooper scooper or food required. He will go for walkies with you if you pop him in your bag or pocket.

Desmond has three other friends: Dotty the Dalmation, Boris the Bulldog and Smokey the Labrador.

Puppy features a cute sticky out tongue just ready to lick , safety eyes and nose, full pink detailing including paw pads and inner ears, the cutest stubby tail and a crocheted smart studded collar. Puppy is 7 ‘ inches tall and nice and chunky, just like a real bulldog pup.

So, what should I call this pup?

 

Dotty about Puppies

It’s confirmed, I’m most definitely a dog lover.

I’ve tried making cats, but only managed one.

Here is my latest puppy. Her name is Dotty and she is a Dalmation.

She’s 6 inches tall, just big enough to fit into a pocket and has safety eyes and nose.

I think she’s really cute, but I’ll let you decide.

It was inevitable that I would make doggy finger puppets as part of my finger puppet sets that I am making for my upcoming Craft stall at Morley College

It would be lovely to see lots of you there, here’re my latest puppy dogs.

I know I’m biased, but I think they’re really cute. They’d make the perfect gift for dog lovers everywhere, are fantastic for creative play and could be the gift for someone who already has everything. They’re one -off , so guaranteed no one will have anything like this. A set of 3 handmade puppies costs £12 and come presented in their own white box.

Labrador Love

Yes I’ve made another puppy. Oh how I love amigurumi. It is my new obsession.

I had  to make a Labrador puppy, maybe I should wrap him up in a certain brand of toilet tissue?

I’ve decided to equip of all my puppies with a little lead so all prospective owners can take them on proper walks.

Just a cheap excuse to show an old Donny Osmond classic.

He was my first crush. Well, it was 1971 and I was only 7. Give a girl a break.

 

I’ve been crocheting again, what a surprise! This time it’s an amigurumi, the cutest Japanese invention ever, cute crochet creatures.

Who says Pitbulls are scary? My favourite dog person in the world, Cesar Milan has a few and they seem pretty docile to me. It’s not the breed, it’s the owner!

Anyway back to crochet. I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
