Frogs and Snails and Puppy Dogs Tails

That’s what little boys are made of?

I’ve always been a little uncomfortable with the very gender biased rhyme: What are Little Girls made of?

I know quite a few young ladies who are not all sugar and spice and all things nice.

BUT it has given me the perfect opportunity to theme some more cute little crocheted booties for boys (and girls).

*Frogs

Here are the booties inspired by frogs:

Ribbit, two frogs in a box

Green sole and soft yellow upper

Fastened securely at the ankle with a spotty green button.

These darling froggy feet would fit newborn and stretch up to 6 months of age.

They’re soft but hardwearing, made in acrylic yarn.

SNails

Here are the ones inspired by snails.

Jewel blue with a snail or two

They’re made with beautiful royal blue acrylic yarn, making them hard wearing and easily washable. They would stretch to fit up to 6 months of age and the t-bar strap fitting makes sure they stay on those little kicking feet.

Cute as a snail button.

These lovely blue booties are fastened securely with a smart pinstriped blue button  and are decorated with a crocheted cotton leaf and a hand painted smiley wooden snail button. Just totally adorable. I think they’d be appreciated by boys or girls.

Puppy Dogs Tails?

Maybe not. Will purple traffic lights do?

Here are some very smart purple shoes

Uber cute purple booties with 'traffic light' button detail

Purple booties with chocolate brown soles. Yummy.

Again these adorable baby shoes will stretch to fit up to 6 months of age.

I think all these booties are suitable for boys but would also look really cute on girls too.

Girls can be made of *frogs and snails and puppy dogs tails as well can’t they?

but frogs are just so much cuter. I mean, slugs? Ugh. They’re just homeless snails aren’t they?
